Very disappointing in a beautiful setting. Seemed more interested in selling memberships and annual. Great for the fishermen and locals to have a permanent 2nd lodge with their decks, fences and gardens.

When I booked this stay at this campground, I looked at what was listed near by. In the reservation book thru TTN is says it's near Nashville, it's 1 1/2 hours away, it says there is an elephant sanctuary near by-that is a true statement but it's not open to the public. It also says they have WiFi , that is a true statement if you want to stay in the bathroom or common lounges. We moved our site by the bathroom and would occasionally get on line, it really wouldn't be a problem but cell service was not great either (we have verizon and get service in areas where most dont) because you are in the middle of no man's land. It was beautiful and lots of Amish near by.

We visited Natchez Trace in February 2018 on our way westward. Winter is not a good time to see the beauty of this park like setting. We didn't have a chance to get out due to numerous days of severe storms and flooding in the area. There were a number of year-rounders that were very helpful in letting us know where to go if a tornado warning was in effect. Overall a nice campground. A note of warning -- thankfully the camp puts this on their website but should probably be more pronounced -- If yo come off the Natchez Parkway exit to Napier road there is an 11' clearance. Looks like the overpass has been struck multiple times. The state warning sign is small and less than 100 yards before the overpass.

We arrived and the office was closed-tried several numbers and they went no where or to a fax machine-tried to get the ranger station with no luck-there was a bin for after hours, but our reservation was not in there even though I had a reservation number etc from the email they sent-drove 40 miles out of our way to stay at the campground and was left driving all night after driving all day since there was no where else to stay

Hohenwalk/ Natchez Trace was very nicely kept and had a lot of offer. They had a nice clubhouse, a beautiful lake, and pools that would be accessible in the summer. Unfortunately, if you need wifi or cell service you will only find a good wifi connection in the main clubhouse. It's a great park for unplugging, but if you plan to work it's not super convenient. Plan a stay here as a getaway though! Lovely park and staff!
