Such a beautiful and picturesque fountain near the water. You can even dip your feet in it! Makes quite the splashing noise too! Very relaxing.

Charleston's Waterfront Park has 2 fountains and the large Pineapple Fountain is the most impressive with its many cascading waterfalls. There are plenty of good photo ops with the fountain and the nearby stately homes, green parkway, and/or waterfront for background. It's part of a beautiful park which was developed after Hurricane Hugo destroyed the waterfront homes at this location. There are several good nearby restaurants and we took a leisurely park stroll while we waited for our table to become available. This is a good place to also watch sunrises.

There are 4 paths leading to "sides" of the fountain, but we walked up the path closest to us to walk around the fountain. There were several groups or individuals taking pictures and just enjoying the fountain. We walked up in a break in the crowd at which time an older woman said "Hey! We're next! You need to wait your turn". She started hurrying toward us to stake her claim until we pointed out the other 345 degrees of the circle where we could go for a picture.
It's an easy attraction to find, and is a fun photo opp.
