I had wanted to visit this place for years. It is AMAZING! The planning that goes into such beautiful plant displays is probably the BEST I have ever seen. And I've seen many gardens in the U.S. and Europe. The estate (Dupont) is huge, is 100 years old, and the original trees have been preserved so they are much bigger than we see in clearcut areas in the U.S. The conservatory is not to be missed and the fountain shows a bonus. Not to mention, the Cafe has excellent food. We spend 3 hours the first day, and 6 hours the second. Go, you won't be disappointed.

My wife and I visited Longwood Gardens for the first time today. It was an amazing place. So much to do and so much to see, and not enough time to do it. We saw two fountain shows and they were wonderful. It was well worth the price of admission. One thing I found fascinating was that during the entire afternoon today, there were no bugs, no gnats no flies. All we saw were bees, butterflies, and squirrels! We will be coming back!

Magnificent trip to Longwood. Words cannot describe the sheer beauty of the Conservatory and grounds with hidden surprises. The Fountain evening show with choreographed music and lighting is awesome. Lovely accommodations at nearby Whitewing Farms. An absolutely beautiful spot 20 minutes south of Philadelphia airport. A MUST!!!

We have been here several times over the last several years. The gardens are extraordinary and the only one better in our opinion were Gardens by the Bay in Singapore. The care and presentation of the gardens are excellent. The water show is always entertaining. The discussions you can have with the staff about various plants including vegetable gardens are always enlightening.

We also went here for the entertainment and last year saw Audrey McDonald whose show was not to be missed. Her interaction with the audience showed us how much she cared about being there.

The fountains at Longwood Gardens should be on everyone's bucket list The gardens are beautiful but it is the fountains and other water features that make this such a special place.
