Motel has potential but staff disorganised, Restaurant closed, no breakfast available. Room was clean but a bit tired and not appealing. Bed was not too bad, room was quiet. All in all I find it hard to recommend this motel.

Needed somewhere to stay after driving though flood waters. Place looked ok from the outside. They slogged me $85 for a single. Ripped off. shower rose broken dust over furniture couldnt use power points pillows hard as rocks and the spare pillows were ex hospital pillows. Could only sleep for 4 hours it was so uncomfortable. I am a motel owner, I charge $70 a single and I have almost perfect ratings. Avoid this place and sleep in the car.

Room Tip: dont stay keep driving

Very dirty, shower, toilet, just everywhere.
This includes the whole grounds of the premises.
The motel resembled a construction site.
Shower rose about to fall off wall, dripping taps & the vanity light fused.
No globe in the bedside lamp.
Don't bring your phone, hair dryer or computer....why, because the power points will not accept a standard 3 pin plug!!
No toaster, wine glasses, microwave, a plate or anything else much!!
No food services available.
Could not wait till morning, & all this for $95.

Room Tip: Do not stay here at all!!

From the outside the motel did not look too bad. However, I should have realised when I was finally able to open the reception door that things were not good. The owner appeared from behind a dingy curtain. He told me that they were struggling because there was a mine shaft in the front of the property which had sunken 18 months ago and the property looked like a building site because of delays and arguments over the fixing of it. He said this had badly affected the business.
We felt really sorry for the owners, however upon entering the motel room it was obvious that there had not been any maintenance on the rooms for a very long time. The bathroom was terrible, tiles off the wall and rotting timber. The vanity was badly stained and the plug hole filthy.
The carpets were stained, even the timber windows barely closed properly.
The restaurant was not operating, we were charged $90 for the room and it is most disappointing to read much the same comments from 3 years ago.
I wish we had read these comments earlier. I also do not like to be negative, but feel that people need to be aware of the conditions here.

I too don't like to be negative but....if it's a case of stay here or sleep in the car, then roll the windows down a wee bit, park somewhere safe and kip until you can drive through to Forbes or....anywhere! It's ghastly.

Stayed: October 2014, traveled with family
