We were traveling from Melbourne to Sydney and had a one night stop @ Simon and Darryl. What can I say?.... We wished we booked more nights.... :-) Several stops and u never where u will end up thus... Some wrong bookings and some "too short" bookings - this was one of these moments.... The house is beautiful, it has a very particular atmosphere of course because of the history but mainly because of the host Simon. If there could be a price for being number 1 in hospitality, Simon would definitely get it... Leaving competition far behind. In the house manual, it says: "we like to get to know our guests and thus invite you for some drinks at 5PM." This is not a sort of marketing trick, it is the truth. We were welcomed in a "take it slow and easy" kind of way, in a "our house is your house" kind of way. The drinks (and canapes) were fabulous and we had a good time before we went to dinner (a booking Simon made for us by the way). In hotels functions are split up, here Simon does it all: housekeeper, concierge, welcome committee, cook! We had Belgian waffles for breakfast (a challenge Simon took up ! :-) and they were wonderful - as the rest of breakfast.
The price you pay is absolutely worth the stay! Spacious rooms, kitchenette (filled up even with home made cookies) at your disposal, drinks and canapes, great breakfast. If you are on your way on the Coastal Road, this is a spot to stop. You will regret it if you don't! Go for it !

We were captivated hear the story of the house. The care and attention to detail that they have taken in re-imagining an important piece of local history made for a wonderful experience. This a beautiful Georgian home with a modern twist, made all the more enjoyable by great host (Simon). Looking forward to our next stay...

During our wonderful four night stay, Simon and Darryl were perfect and generous hosts. Scrumptious food, fabulous after-five drinks and faultless style makes Terragong a perfect destination for discerning travellers wanting luxury with a personal touch. It is amazing to see this beautiful old house come back to life again under Simon and Darryl's stewardship.
Jamberoo/Kiama is a beautiful location where there is much to do - Simon is an expert on the best places to visit and importantly, where to eat, which ensures a great break. We will certainly be visiting again.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at Terragong - a beautifully renovated 19th Century building. Every detail was special - our room and indeed all of the house, was furnished to a high standard but not at the expense of comfort. The breakfasts were amazing - interesting and delicious. The extras - the butler's pantry with a range of drinks and beautiful homemade cake and the welcoming drinks and snacks each afternoon, made our stay extra special. Our hosts Simon and Darryl were just wonderful, interesting and very welcoming - and spent lots of time explaining the renovation and answering all our questions - with a smile. We will visit again.

We arrived at Terragong for a 3-night stay, straight from our wedding reception, just in time for their 'happy hour'. Simon and Darryl opened a bottle of bubbly in our honour. This was just the beginning of the warm welcome we received! Their attention to detail and intuitive understanding of us as newly-wed guests, made this a truly beautiful honeymoon stay. The delicious breakfasts, stimulating conversation, informative and attentive help have meant that we are still smiling and talking about our time there! We would recommend this place to anyone who'll listen and look forward to a return visit!
