We visited Lovegrows on Sunday 1st April and was very disappointed with the service we experienced. The food was very average and at almost £5 for a bowl of soup and 3 slices of ‘posh’ bread it was way over priced, I’ve had far better soup made at home! We asked for some more milk to go with our tea and it never arrived. The Victoria sponge was probably the driest the I’ve eaten and so for almost £32 for the 3 of us we won’t be going back or recommending it anybody else.

The blueberry and orange scones were fantastic. The Victoria sponge was gluten free without any of the dryness that can be associated with the lack of gluten. The coffee was tasty. The service is excellent.

Went here for lunch with my friend and I can’t fault it. They were extremely friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious! The bread is so good and I enjoyed a very tasty slice of carrot cake too. I will definitely be going back here. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.

We stopped here for a quick bite on New Years Day. The four of us went for different sandwiches and coffee.

The sandwiches were excellent and were accompanied with a side salad and interesting chutneys. The coffee was also very good.

Only thing to note is that service does take a bit of time as everything is made fresh at order. So leave a little time or check when ordering if in a hurry.

I would highly recommend

Thank Eudall

Went to Lovegrows today on the recommendation of a friend. We were a party of 4 with our daughter, her partner and our 3 month old grandaughter. There were 2 veggies in the party. We were made very welcome by the 2 proprietors, one of whom served us whilst the other was chef. Very clean and tidy premises. The menu had a good range of quality food for all the adults, all cooked fresh to order. It was delicious. We thought it represented good value and well worth the visit. We will definitely return when next in Hebden Bridge area.
