“Nicely done for a small Community”

Scappoose Veterans Memorial
Reviewed July 2, 2016

This is a nice memorial and definitely a special place to stop and show respect to those from the area who have served our United States of America in the military

This is one of the best small town veterans memorials I have seen yet. We discovered this gem while traveling the scenic route from Portland to Bellevue, WA. This is a cross between a memorial to veterans who have passed away and plaques of veterans who have donated to the memorial. There is also a very lengthy and informative tribute to the 52 submarines and crews lost in WWII. In addition, there are some other very interesting and descriptive plaques. While I read the plaques and tried to absorb the information, my wife took the opportunity to use the public restroom between the Memorial and the public library. She then joined me and also found the displays interesting.
