The tot lot is popular, but the facilities I visit most are the tennis and pickleball courts and the dog park. Free concerts on summer evenings are a nice feature too. Best of all, Sam Johnson is adjacent to the Dry Canyon, with its long hiking/biking trails and Frisbee golf. The only negative is the bathrooms. Not enough of them. Still, it's great to have such a well developed park in the heart of town.

If you are visiting Redmond and want a spot for a picnic and playgrounds for the children then you will be glad to spend time here.

This is a wonderful venue just walking distance from downtown. Ball fields, music events, bike and walking trails for miles (7?) both blacktop and rustic. Even more has been added since I was there. The flat bottom canyon is lined with basalt stone walls and the homes along the rim don't seem to impact the sense of being out in nature - seldom crowded except at events. Great planning to keep commercial efforts out.

Redmond has done a great job of investing in their parks and trails. This is no exception. I come here to play Pickleball, and the facilities are excellent.

The playground is accessible to all ages and abilities. It is located in one of Redmond loveliest parks and is a wonderful place to visit. The park also hosts Music in the Park summer evenings where various bands play and vendors share information and their wares.
