My wife and I took a trip to Carroll County Ohio to look for a lake front cottage. We stopped at The Carroll County Visitors Center and the girl working there raved about the Minerva Classic 57 Diner. So we were leaving Leesville Lake and I told my wife we would head back to Pittsburgh and grab some fast food on the way home. Since she is directionally challenged, she had no idea we were going 45 miles out of the way. Found the Minerva Classic 57 diner, not very impressive on the outside and not super busy for 6:30 PM on a Wednesday evening. We sat down to eat & wow! They had a wide variety of food and beer, the wait staff including the teenagers were very knowledgeable about the food. I ordered a full rack of ribs for around $ 17 and they were great, I don't remember what my wife ordered but she loved it. I even had leftover ribs to take home. While the diner is an hour and half from Pittsburgh with a lot of back roads, I am trying to find a reason to go back with some of our friends. Oh the pie was fantastic.
