The 4 Vineyard Tour was a great way to start our annual girls weekend on the East Coast.
Sally and John are very friendly and flexible. Sally went all out to make our day an enjoyable experience.
It was fantastic to be able to be picked up and dropped off at our accommodation.
The 6 of us plus Sally had a fabulous ride through peaceful farmland, sharing the way with a few sheep and visiting 4 wonderful vineyards all interesting and special in their own way.
Thanks Kim! What a great day we all had. You were all so much fun. I love showing visitors the farms and vineyards from the bicycles! So different and amazing. John and I are pleased you all had fun and enjoyed the wines and meeting the people. See you next time.
Whilst working 5 weeks in Swansea, I rented a bike for 4 and 2 days. The rate was very reasonable ($25 per day) and I even received a discount the second time. Sally and her husband were great, very flexible with me picking up and dropping off the bike and gave some tips. The Trek mountain bike was excellent and the area great to cycle. Thanks for helping me unwind and keep fit!
It was a pleasure to meet you and provide a good service while you were in Swansea. It's such a great way to see the local area and the East Coast of Tassie that we are so proud of. The trek bikes are great and we are glad you enjoyed your experience with us.
My partner and I were visiting from Melbourne and found this tour to be the perfect way to visit some local wineries at our leisure. Sally was very flexible and able to accommodate for us arriving in Swansea later in the morning. We were dropped off in the winery region and rode ourselves between four wineries, before Sally picked us up at the end (and even collected some wine we had bought!). A great way to see the area.
Thanks for your lovely review Reanna. John and I think the self directed tours are great! You can do the cycling at your own pace, enjoy wine tastings and lunch. Then get picked up at the end of the day and not have to drive home. I agree, its a way to see the area.
My husband and I did the 4 Vineyards tour in October. We were lucky enough to be the only people on this tour so we felt like friends, not tourists! Sally's personal connections with all the vineyard folks made it a really authentic experience. The highlighs for us were the Craigie Knowe vineyard - lovely people and wines - and the Milton Vineyard, mainly because of the young French chef, Sophie and partner who cooked us the best meal of our Tasmanian holiday! The Gala cellar door was also delightful - very rustic and atmospheric. And, of course, it was a beautiful ride through the peaceful countryside. Finally, Sally and John were the perfect hosts.
What a great day we had Avril. John and I are so pleased you both enjoyed it. I love taking the cycle tours, meeting people, showcasing our superb East Coast. Its great to do the vineyards tour a different way. You really seeings from a different perspective cycling through the private land, off road. Our East Coast wines are superb and we are glad you enjoyed them. Come back soon for more adventures with us!
I did this tour back on April 1 and had been wanting to do it for at least a year. It was worth the wait. The tour on great condition Trek mountain bikes covered four wineries, including morning tea on the verandah of one of the winemaker's beautiful historic home, a tour of the vineuards (while they were picking!), a fantastic lunch, a ride through the wineries themselves, a bottle of vino to share over lunch, and... Sally's excellent company. Great value, great wine, great food, and excellent tour. Well done Sally! Sorry it has taken me a few weeks to write this.
Thanks so much Carlos for the great review. I am so pleased you had an excellent time on our tour. We try to cater for everyone's needs and abilities on the tour, including where we cycle, what stops we make and when to eat! I loved showing you our amazing East Coast vineyards and farms. You were lucky to see the picking at Craigie Knowe Vineyard and enjoy their hospitality and fine Tassie produce and wines for morning tea. The people you meet on our tours are so welcoming and sharing. Glad you enjoyed your experience. Love to see you again sometime, Sally.
Easter break in the sunshine.
Sally took us around for the day and it could not have been nicer.
She could not have been a better and more thoughtful host.
The tour is interesting and the people you meet along the way are all a mirror image of Sally... meaning wonderful.
Good wine and good company.
I urge anyone in the area to take the tour.
Thanks Andy! It was a great day for sure! You were both so much fun and it was a pleasure to share our adventures with you. John and I hope you will return one day when you are next in Tasmania. The people, food and wines are special. The cycling is a really good way to see the area close up, smell the smells and get a close up view of the vines, the farms and the animals. lovely to have met you both, Sally
