We paid extra for the all inclusive food, drinks and recliner chairs. At a cost of $295 each. To sum it up, it was overpriced, overcrowded and apart from stopping to get off to walk on Sarah island, it was too much time sitting in your seat looking at the river and trees. Sorry, I won’t be able to recommend this, especially as Covid safe practices weren’t in place at all (except a bit of hand sanitising). It should not have been booked to capacity. Also they ran out of food, or someone had eaten our share, not sure which.
We are very sorry but it seems as though you have made this review on the wrong company profile for your recent cruise experience in Strahan. World Heritage Cruises (our business) do not offer an all inclusive drinks, food and recliner package for $295 each, and we certainly encourage our passengers to move about our beautiful new large catamaran, and we always have plenty of food for our passengers served with COVID protocols front of mind. Next time you are in Strahan we would love you to experience our family owned and operated cruise.
definitely worth doing . it was so much more than we expected . it was nearly a full day out and we saw so much and learnt so much about the history of this area. We had beautiful weather which made it even more special and were able to go out through the heads further as it was so calm so that was a bonus. i know there are to tour companies but we found this company very friendly and the captain was fantastic. worth the money. we paid the extra money for the top deck and i think it is worth it.

The cruise was very comfortable and full of interest both on the harbour and the river. The stops were very well organised at Sarah Island and to see the forest. Guides were well informed and gave good tours. Lunch was delicious. I don't think it is worth getting a more expensive ticket unless you have mobility issues. It is easy to move around the boat and enjoy the outside decks.

We specifically went to Strahan to go on this cruise, after reading the reviews we decided on this one, the red boat!
What a great day out! The scenery around the area is varied and simply stunning. The guides were informative and we learnt a great deal about the area, including Sarah island.
The lunch was lovely and the staff super friendly, we splurged and booked Gold seat tickets, great choice! We were fortunate with the weather, as a result you could stand outside which was nice, but if the weather had been unpleasant our guaranteed window would have been essential. Even with the beautiful weather it was nice to sit in our comfortable seats and look at the uninterrupted views.
It is a definite must if you can get to Strahan.

The leather seats on our upper deck are a little bit lovely, and as you say, if you are not able to move around the boat for any reason, it is nice to have the guarantee of the leather seats and the window views. Well everything started off fine. However after visiting Sarah Island things went astray as the boats power went out. We drifted slightly towards land as steering had been lost. Then when the captain got the power back, the boat surged forward as the poor captain was unable to reverse or steer.
We were notified and kept up to date with details of the situation. It became evident that we would be evacuated. Life jackets on we Climb the barrier and with captains help boarded the rubber dingy. The Dingy took us to Sarah Island where Gordon River Cruise took us back to Strahan.
We felt safe at all times.
To top everything off when we returned to Strahan World Heritage Cruises refunded our money.
