Initially when going to Hursey Seafoods Stanley Tasmania, we intended to eat at the restaurant, but then decided to get takeaway. We ordered serves of flathead, and a prawn box. The serves were substantial, but we were totally disappointed with the quality of our meal. The flathead was dry and tasted of fish oil, rather than the moist, sweet flathead that we have previously enjoyed from other fish food outlets, and anticipated when we ordered from Hursey Seafoods. We did not enjoy the prawns as the flavour was tainted with obvious ammonia. From this experience, we will be reluctant to return to Hursey Seafood, although the chips were quite good.
