I spent a lovely Sunday lunchtime/afternoon listening to great music and enjoying the food and coffee at The Old Forge. It is a lovely tea room that provides a wide ranging menu of food and drinks in a nice country village setting. There was two hours of live music provided by local folk musicians which was perfect for a summers day. I would well recommend a visit to sample the lovely food at this tea room.

We had lunch with friends today, ploughmans an BLTs. It was just perfect sitting outside with good friends and good food. This is another little place that just has got it right with simple good tasting food, well presented and good portions. We will definetley go back.

Intended to have a coffee and cake, but had lunch instead, Home made corned beef hash served with wo poached eggs.
The meal was beautiful and plenty of it. The eggs were cooked to perfection and slit open to allow the yolk to run.
Very filling and very very tasty.
Service, as always, was prompt and very pleasant,

Had a relaxing lunch in this quaint, historic building in a beautiful setting. There was a good variety on the menu to choose from. I had soup and my friend had the soup and sandwich combo which were both very tasty. We then had chocolate brownie and Bakewell tart, both with cream, yummy! My lunch and 2 pots of tea I thought were very reasonable at under £12. Well worth a visit.
