We brought my parents to the Pheasant to celebrate my Mother's 80th birthday.
The relaxed, comfy, understated surroundings were just the job - we took 2 of the large double rooms on a DBB basis.
The rooms were comfy and well appointed, the lounge areas cosy and certainly not lacking in warmth from the fires!
Service was relaxed yet attentive and my Mum had an absolute ball - as did we.
We went a la carte as to be honest a tasting menu would just have been too much for her but the a la carte was perfect - the spiced Hake a particular highlight.
I would have no hesitation in returning and/or recommending the Pheasant - it was great.More
