Visited Easter Sunday at 4pm with family. had to wait 30 mins for a table. this i dont feel is bad and to be honest can be a good thing when popular.
I had Sunday carvery. The staff serving on carvery station were very friendly and chatty. Great range of vegetables on offer for the carvery. Beef and turkey for me with big tasty yorkshire puddings. enjoyed the carvery. it wasnt piping hot but just warm. but the food was tasty enough. 3/5 for carvery.
Food ordered from normal food menu was much to be desired. Sirlon Steak ordered medium rare came like well done after a 30 minute wait. looked like a lump of old leather. Onion rings arrived 5 mins later when should have been with the meal.
Burger with cheese and bacon arrived. burger was cold and the chips were cold. Not one member of staff stopped by the table to ask if everything was ok. so really a family meal to forget. Dissapointing meal

Nine around the table with four generations present. Great carvery with choice of three meats and all the trimmings and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend.

Lunch (carvery) was ok not a massive selection but enough. Beef was excellent and Yorkshire puddings are massive.
Place was scorching hot tho so bad we asked to get the radiators turned off
Sweets looked decent btw for those that like that sort of thing.
What I don’t get is obviously just been refurbished but tables and chairs look like they’ve just been bought from a 70s second hand shop!! Our tables where cobbled together from god knows where which is a shame. Now I get it it’s about the food but it’s gotta look decent too
Tip tho Gets busy so book if I was you...

I visited The Trawlerman and thought it was amazing. We went on a Sunday and had a carvery that includes a wide variety of food and beverages. The carvery was splendid with very well cooked meat and vegetables. The staff didn't waste time and ordered food straight away without any fuss.

The staff were also paitent with slow eaters and we're happy and polite. Overall: Amazing
