We arrived late in Whitstable without a dinner reservation and stumbled upon Samphire, we were so pleased we did. Charming staff, great food and wine, lovely fresh ingredients cooked and presented with flair. We noticed they opened for breakfast so made a booking before leaving, again excellent food and fab coffee. You won’t be disappointed it was delicious.

A little deflated after our visit - felt the hype was not lived up to. The Fish Pie was fairly pedestrian (if you are serving a Fish Pie in a restaurant it had better be good), and the kedgeree was satisfying (although the curry sauce on the side was odd).

Good, friendly service though.

Lovely restaurant and lovely team. Would highly recommend. Would recommend booking as the restaurant gets busy. Mussels as a starter are delicious as was the fish pie and the pork belly

Really good weekend breakfast- the full English was delicious! Lovely meaty sausage, sourdough toast and great bacon- i think its all locally sourced and you can tell it is quality ingredients. My friend had pancakes which were light and fluffy- super friendly service, warm and cosy on a chilly day and highly recommended.

do recommend. All very tasty and beautifull. i do like the way waitress talked. Food was beautifull and full of tastes. Would recommend chef at breadcrumb recipe in mushroop soup because rosemary at the first place tastes as old bread and after you regonize rosemary and get real taste. Dont know what to do with this but i would change it
