A great couple lovely people but trying to get the most from home made chocolates is a tough ask. Great taste but a definitive lack of creativity from chef hubby. Need to look closer at the luxury market like Hotel Chocolate and other marketeers. But otherwise a lovely experience while wandering down the high street.

We popped in for a coffee on our way through Hythe - so glad we did. We had the best tasting coffee we've had in a long time beautifully presented and the service really made us feel welcome. Of course, we couldn't resist choosing a few chocolates to eat with our coffee - heavenly! Highly recommend giving yourself such a luxurious treat.

My beloved bought me a chocolate and wine pairing evening for Father's Day and what a treat!
The evening started with a couple of glasses of fizz and a chat with Henry ( The Chocolatier ) and his family, a warmer and more engaging group of people you will not meet.
We then started to taste Henry's
white, milk and dark chocolates with different wines and I was amazed how letting the chocolate melt on your tongue combined with the wine
gave your senses an absolute treat.
We then moved onto creating our own designs on pre-cast moulds with four different individual pots of coloured chocolates using our fingers, what you don't use you can take with you!!!
We then had a tour of the workshop
and an explanation of the processes involved which was very interesting.
Just when you think it cannot get any better, we then made Florentines - one of my favourites (especially with another glass of wine!). To finally bring a fantastic evening to a close, we did truffle dipping which you could leave plain or decorate with a variety of fruit, nuts etc. This was followed by filling a goodie bag containing all of our creations and a fabulous finale to a great evening.
The chocolate, wine and conversation flowed like a river and
it's very good value for money. We can't wait to tell our friends, so we have an excuse to do it all over again !!
