Owner description: There is a viewing platform for deer. Picturesque forest and national park for the family. Very picturesque and ponies wonder around. It was very busy Easter Weekend but still and enjoyable day out, getting back to nature.

Went to the New Forest for a relaxing break and couldn’t have been more pleased. The deer sanctuary is fabulous. Just as we arrived at the viewing platform a herd of fallow deer cam running over the fields in front of us and stopped right there! The walks around the park are wonderful and the trees, especially those dating back to the 17th century are incredible.

What a lovely setting, every time we visit the deer are there en mass! Fantastic for the kids and picnic benches all around and a lovely information room there too and trees to play in

We only saw a few deers at a distance which was disappointing.
However it was still a lovely walk on a sunny day.

Enjoyed our 3 mile walk through the forest, route clearly marked, free parking, picnic tables, wc. Could spend the day there in the summer.

Got a little bit of everything including toilets. Place to play with a ball, sometimes ice cream van there. Great to see the deer so close and trails to follow. Always plenty of sticks and fircones for the little ones to play with too.
