We have stayed at the Duporth a few times over the years and it’s always been a success. The pool area is lovely with a small pool quite safe for our 3 year old granddaughter. There is shops across the road so you don’t really need to bring too much food. There was enough crockery for all but only 2 dish washing tablets for 3 days which was a bit odd. The back bedrooms closest to the lifts didn’t seem to get the air conditioning which was a bit tricky on such a hot weekend. There is parking for one car under the hotel but easy enough to park in the hotel car park beside . The main street closes on Saturday night and we wandered up for a lovely dinner and also over again for a breakfast. The rooms were very clean and the towels and linen nice but if you want a new towel each day you have to pay extra. The staff are nice and not intrusive although there was a muddle with our booking done on line through booking.com. It might be easier to just call the hotel direct. The hotel is also close to Cotton Tree beach and there is a quiet park to walk ( maybe 15 minutes )through for access. It was a lovely holiday and hope to be back again. I took one point off for the air conditioning but to be fair we didn’t report .

Spent 5 days here on a family break. Great rooms, spectacular views, friendly managers and close to shops and places to eat. You can dine out or cook in your room as there is a full kitchen. Big top shopping centre is right across the road. Finally pool is large and suitable for all ages.

A family member was to be married at the Ebb Waterfront restaurant at the bottom of the Duporth, so we booked early to ensure that we could stay here.

Best thing we could have done, especially since it was a rainy weekend!

The apartment was a decent size, clean, and contained everything that we needed for out two night stay...except the coffee. I haven’t seen International Roast for years - didn’t think it was even made anymore ☹️

Check in and out was quick and simple, and the kids assure me that the pool was lovely!

Visited Duporth for the third time this time with friends from the UK we had a great time and they were really impressed with the apt and the location to everything we will be returning again next year as Leah and the rest of the staff make you feel so welcome.

Room tip: 6th floor or above (my opinion) beautiful views of the maroochy river and the ocean.

The Duporth has been our favourite holiday accommodation for many years from when our children were young, they now have children of their own. So we have been here countless times in different apartments booking for ourselves & numerous times for our international guests & local friends. But this last time (21 days) was a disappointment. Unit 302 had a sub standard 6 inch foam mattress in the main bedroom, the cold air went straight through it & chilled you all night long, & there were no blankets or quilts, only cotton summer types not suitable for any cold snaps. The kitchen washing up brush was so worn it just didn't do its job,& the toilet brush was in similar condition. Just how expensive are they to replace? When we mentioned that the unit wasn't to international standard, we were told that every unit owner decorated their own apartment. If the unit owner can't uphold a high standard, which the booking staff can check on, the pricing should reflect that, not charging the same fee for anything substandard. The decor was very dated & the solid glass coffee table ( so heavy it can't be moved) was the cause of foot injury with blood loss. The lack of wifi & old televisions in the rooms with so many remotes made watching anything a chore. Very different experience to the other apartments & houses in the area that we were privileged to book in the previous 8 weeks. All those have the smart tv's , U-Tube, Netflix & unlimited wifi, they were also well stocked with dishwasher tablets, detergents & hand pump soaps. Even the Airbnb's & stayz had high standards with pricing that was competitive, & they had private pools, well appointed kitchens & (4-5)bedrooms & close to everything you'd need. The views at the Duporth are amazing, but the apartment still has to function as a gathering place for family, guests & friends, & when it's nighttime, the view isn't the main focus.
I'm sure that if I owned a unit here & bought thin foam mattresses in single, double or queen sizes, it would still pass as a rental. Standards dictate that king single beds are as small as you go, unless you have 2 double sized beds in a room, queen size is acceptable in a second room & for the main bedroom it's king sized bed as a minimum.
The office staff must hear so many comments, I guess that's why they treat you like you're unthankful,& you know they are not even going to mention your concerns to the owners.
I've added photos of the mattress(pulled up from the base) with my glasses & pen as a comparison, & those brushes! I've never seen such worn out brushes in my life, they must be years old.
