Throughly enjoyed our visit.Chatted to a lovely lady as we opened the big front door who told us lots as she herself grew up with the original Wight family. Lots to see and loads of interacting games for the children.

My wife and daughter have recently been watching the Yorkshire vet and I think this has renewed interest in James Herriot. We parked in the market Square (80p for 2 hours) and went along to have a look. It was interesting. Plenty to see and do. All the exhibits worked and were engaging.

For a family of 4 it cost £24 and was probably worth it, just.

Should you go? Yes. But don't expect it to fill half a day. It won't.

very interesting, thought entry price a little steep, things of interest for children but majority of the exhibits are for the older generation that remember all creates great and small on TV or the book

Quite a lot of interesting artefacts and a decent exhibition about 'All Creatures Great and Small' but a lot of the exhibits and particularly films feel a bit dated and need refreshing - maybe talk to Peter from 'Yorkshire Vets'?!?
