Great escape.

Lovely little campsite with nothing around for miles. Stayed for 2 nights with my 8 year old. A good base for exploring the surrounding area then getting back to the campsite for peace and quite. Beautiful views all around. Great place if you want to get away from busy daily life. Nice breakfasts too if you book it the night before.

It’s a shame the lady who runs the site is so rude as it’s a beautiful campsite. The location is fantastic and facilities good too.it’s lovely hearing the sheep and cows as you wake in the morning. Some lovely walks from the site.

A group of us stayed at Abbot Park Farm in mid June 2018, some people were camping and some (me included) chose the camping barn. This was a superb site. There are 2 purpose built bunkhouses, each sleeping 6, with comfortable beds, a good shower room, plenty of downstairs living space including kitchen area, and in a superb position. There's also a great café where, two mornings running I had the regular breakfast - just the right size for a day's walking to follow. The staff were friendly, they were superb cooks, and just kept the toast and coffee/tea coming. I overwhelmingly recommend Abbot Park Farm. And it welcomes dogs.

Room tip: If there's any risk of wet weather and you're debating re camping and the bunkhouse, then go for the bunkhouse.

We stayed here recently as a last minute camping trip with the kids, our first camp with the kids and it was glorious. At this time of year the campsite was nice and quiet, we found the best spot to pitch with a gorgeous gorgeous view. The facilities are basic but enough. The hosts are fantastic, the cafe an absolute treat. As a trip out we went to the sand dunes but parking was impossible, so found ourselves getting a fishermans boat to piel island, cheap and cheerful. Next time we would stay again but probably stick round the campsite doing local walks and simply enjoying the tranquility of this spot. Booths supermarket nearby to drive for supplies.

We stayed a night at Abbot Park Farm as it is close to home and we wanted to try out a new tent. What a find! It is a beautiful haven tucked away at the end of a lane on top of the hill. Views around are fantastic. The facilities are very clean and easy to access. The site is lovely and peaceful; perfect for children to run, play and explore. We will definitely be back and next time we will also have a cooked breakfast!

Just arrived home after 3 nights camping with three kids. Perfect spot, amazing views, lovely host and family. The campsite has incredible views in every direction and after a walk up to the toilet at 3.30am the sun coming up behind the hills was beautiful. Shower and toilet blocks were great and clean. Having breakfast in the tea room was a great added touch. Carole and her family were lovely!!
