This was the first time in here, but it certainly won’t be the last. Mike was very welcoming and talked to us throughout our visit.
Food was home cooked, tasted great and good value as well. Ann served us, again she was friendly and chatted away.
We are new to the area and Mike informed us about the local history and what to do and see.
Great place, welcoming, traditional, dog friendly- what more could you ask for.

Enjoyed an excellent Carvery lunch, choice of four beautiful tender meats, crisp Yorkshire puddings and lovely hot vegetables. Followed by scrumptious desserts. Very friendly landlord and staff. We’ll be back!

The Crown is a large pub which is clean and well presented. They seem to specialise in Thai cuisine but I didn't eat so can't comment on the food. There was a large selection of drinks and It was a very pleasant venue for an evening drink.

Don't be put off by the exterior of this place .
Yes it does look dated , yes it does look like it's been a large hotel / restaurant in the past , but does it do great Thai food ? Yes it does !
This is not the place to go if you are in a hurry , but , you can spend time with a nice pint having a chat with Mike the friendly landlord . Ok so his jokes aren't that good but at least he makes the effort to ensure all his customers are happy .
The food made by Anna is the best Thai food that we have ever tasted .
Generous portions and sensible prices . She appears to put her heart and soul into each and every dish and the flavours are awesome .
It just goes to show , you shouldn't judge a book by its cover !
We will certainly be eating here again when we are next in the area .

Room tip: Try the Thai food .
