We stayed as part of a stay and play golf deal, firstly the rooms had tea and coffee facility but no mugs, when we asked at reception they and they advised that they would bring them to the room, this never happened. At the evening meal they had a limited selection of draft beer when it arrived it was flat, the dinner it self was poor, the starter, a tomato and pepper soup was OK, the main was fish and chips and peas every item tasted the same, bland and soggy. Then we were informed that dessert would be 20 minutes, bear in mind that this was all buffet style. The whole organisation was shambolic, the 'manager' was asked at one point what the soup was, to which she had no idea.
the following day all draft beers were gone, no bar food and a very limited selection of bottled beverages, this on a bank holiday weekend from a reputable hotel was disgraceful. on the plus side the golf course was in good condition, but if your staying at the hotel as a family or couple DONT.More
