Overnighted for a special occasion, know the grounds well as we live locally but every now and again we splash out on a luxury night away from home. The House was decorated so tastefully for Christmas, staff very friendly and welcoming and whole experience just wonderful. Our room situated close to the clock tower was fantastic, coal fire if you wish, great views, fitted out with very high quality furniture, bathroom luxurious. Dinner in the Astor Grill was excellent, breakfast in the main dining room with the spectacular views was memorable.
Thanks to everyone at Cliveden for making our stay so fantastic.

We stayed here with our dog Bertie in early December and couldn’t fault the hotel. It was genuinely dog friendly, not just dog tolerant, with gorgeous rooms, beautiful surroundings and great food. We hope to go back soon.

Stayed in a very nice suite on Sunday 13th Dec with my husband to celebrate my birthday. Was a bit concerned that COVID restrictions might impact the experience, but we had a very special time. Highlights - well all of it really .... the number of willing, warm and professional staff ready to help you, the lovely Christmas decorations and ambience, the tasty evening meal, day spent in relaxing spa and an excellent massage, and of course the beautiful grounds to walk around (almost to ourselves). Having had a very disappointing stay in the Complete Angler in Marlow in October for our anniversary - the contrast could not be greater. Clivedon manages that perfect combination I feel - obviously very smart and historic - but still warm and inviting. Highly recommend.

Loved visiting Cliveden for afternoon tea! We had the best festive afternoon and the entire staff, from the car park to the front desk to all of the attentive wait staff. Everyone was absolutely fantastic! Couldn’t fault them at all. It really makes the difference when you go somewhere with lovely staff. The food and drinks were delicious too. Especially the mulled wine - the best we’ve ever tasted!
Would highly recommend to anyone and we will be back soon. Thank you for a lovely afternoon and merry Christmas!
