Description: The Crazy Bear Beaconsfield opened in 2008 to spectacular international reviews including Conde Nast's Red Hot List for best new hotels in the world. The oldest documented building in Beaconsfield, a fifteenth century coaching inn, has been meticulously restored and elaborately designed to provide dramatic architecture and uncompromised luxury. The Crazy Bear Beaconsfield is a unique oasis in quintessential England and the antithesis to bland hotels.

Following reading reviews for the Hotel & Restaurant chain, I was a little apprehensive, however, we really enjoyed our visit, didn't feel rushed to finish our meal and thought it was fairly good value - not as expensive as first thought! The atmosphere was enhanced by good music and unusual decor and the service was impeccable!

Went for an early dinner, which was delicious and the service was excellent. Worth going for the décor and atmosphere, even if only for a few drinks at the bar.

Been going here for almost a decade, experiences always vary. Most special was 2009-2012 era: it felt more exclusive and furnishings were more looked after. Most recently excellent food, lovely yet professional staff, great menu choice but too pricey for what its worth. The decor is impressive but it was a massive shame to see wear and tear un-repaired which had obviously been left that way for a while, especially in the infamous ladies loos. Decor borderline tacky in some areas and the atmosphere is at its most buzzy in the evenings. Again, shame to see the establishments 'no signs' theme has been sabotaged by a huge named flag outside the front door. There used to only be a huge crystal sphere knocker on a big wooden door to tell you you're in the right secret place. Crystal knocker has now vanished too. But overall great service and great food. Didn't want to drink too much alcohol for fear of being left bankrupt! Beaconsfield is an affluent area but these are London prices and above.
