This is an interesting little hotel a block from the charming main square of Valladolid. Rooms have a kind of "modern art meets OXXO convenience store" decor, which is whimsical enough, as well as lots of interesting lighting. Shower has good water pressure and hot water. A/C worked fine, although it was locked to a certain temperature -- nonetheless, it was more than adequate to keep the room cool. My room was a bit depressing, because it didn't have any windows to the outside. Wifi reached my room in the back of the hotel and while not super fast (about 2 mbps), it was adequate for light usage and light streaming.
Breakfast was a choice of eggs (including some with sausage), fruit, bread, coffee, and tea -- cooked to order. The ladies who cooked breakfast and the housekeepers were both very kind.
I was a bit annoyed at check-out, because I was told I could pay with cash or credit, but the staff member was unable to use the credit card machine, which required some sort of password to unlock. When I paid with cash -- after giving up on the idea of using my credit card -- and then asked for a receipt, the staff member asked me to write my own receipt. (Of course, if I have an issue after the fact, writing my own receipt is not good evidence of a transaction.) The staff member was extremely kind...This is an interesting little hotel a block from the charming main square of Valladolid. The staff member was extremely kind about the issue, but a bit of additional training could be helpful. I also think that by booking ahead on Booking.com, I paid a bit more than the rates posted at reception.More
