The bright colors and helpful staff were definite pluses at this hostel.

The limited range of the wifi signal, and the uneven steps to the second floor were negatives.

The hostel is in an old masonry building that has been adapted for its current use. Like many buildings in Mexico, compromises have been made when renovating. The staircase near the front door to the 2nd floor dorms is narrow, with steps that reminded me of climbing the nearby pyramids (i.e., too high for comfort). At the top, you either go straight to the dorm or take a right to a small common room, but if you want to go from the dorm area to the common area, on the same level, you actually have to step down and then back up.

In the back of the building, getting to the shower/toilet or to the back staircase required a couple of steps up to an area with a private room, and then another step up to the shower/toilet. The back staircase is well built, but it has a 180 turn at the bottom with just a couple of steps to go.

The air conditioning in the women's dorm was turned on by staff at night, but didn't really work all that well.

The location is great, on a shady plaza a few blocks from the main plaza.

Room Tip: The space is so narrow and the rooms so small, that I don't think the private rooms really provide any privacy.

Hola, thanks for your coment!! This old house has been a challege for adapting it to this new use as a hostel. For most of the people this is part of the charm of this house but we undestand that not for everyone. Thanks for your coment and we will keep improving.

This hostel is very clean at all times no matter what time of the day you arrive it was clean and fresh. I loved the garden where we meet to have breakfast. the kitchen was equipped if you wished to cook your own meals. Candelaria is a short distance to center town where you can shop eat close to the ADO bus too. a walking distance to Cenote Zacki as well. I truly enjoyed my stay

The staff was very welcoming and helpful. They always said hello and smiled when we entered the hostel. The included breakfast was great and there is a kitchen equipped with the basics as well as rice and pasta, that is free to use.
The internet works well and bikes can be rented for 100 pesos.

Room Tip: Bike out and swim in the cenotes!

This hostel is really nice and clean. The garden is lovely and quite big with hammocks at the back. The breakfast, which is included with your room/bed, is plentiful and tasty. The people are really friendly. The wifi is OK, but you can also use the computer (if it is free) in the reception area!
