We found this place to be very clean.....
The lady was friendly and welcomely ,she is a animal lover.
Very reasonably priced as well.
All rooms on one floor so easy accessible.
There was a pool but not known if it was all to use as it was quite late when we arrived and early when we left.
Place needs to be remodeled has a bad smell and the air conditioner smells like mold place is on a well and septic system it is out to far from city water or sewer systems and the wifi for computer does not work half the time
It has a bar fridge but no coffee maker and old chairs that were very uncomfortable and was a bit away from stores only good thing was we stayed there because it was close to Upper Canada Village that we were going to on the weekend and the price was good but considering how old the place was and the smell it should have been much less!
I does have a few nice trails to go walking on to the River it would have probably looked nice in the fall but unless if they update the building and get rid of the smell I would not recommend the place
I stayed here with my mother last weekend. It was very comfortable and welcoming. We brought a dog with us and there was a nice big back yard were I was able to walk her. Be aware this is a motel, not a hotel. Some amenities may be missing such as shampoo/body wash and a coffee maker. We brought our own since this is usually the standard with privately owned motels. They do however provide a microwave, mini fridge, A/C and satellite tv. The linens were also fresh and clean. The owners seem to take pride in their business as I frequently seen them out and about doing maintenance and cleaning. The gentlemen owner is quiet and reserved and the lady owner was very friendly and hospitable. I will definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone going to Upper Canada Village since it's not even a 5 minutes drive up the road.
This place is not in Morrisburg or close to any anemeties. It smells like mold and the water smells like it came from a nearby swamp. "Norman Bates" the owner has zero social skills and the above ground pool is locked and for decoration only. Not family friendly at all! Best advice on this one is to keep on driving.
We recently visited the Riverside Motel while we were in Morrisburg for a weekend fishing tournament and were very pleased with our stay. There is ample parking for boats and outside electrical for charging batteries.
Rooms are not fancy, but all of the necessary amenities are there and the rates are quite reasonable. The motel is very well kept and is exceptionally clean and tidy, which is really important to me. and the staff and owners were friendly and courteous.
The only drawback for me was that there were no coffee makers in the room, but the motel is a short drive from Tim Hortons and other restaurants, so it wasn't that big of a deal.
We would definitely return again!
