Being able to climb in the turrets was a lot of fun as was watching kids rotate the guns. Overall, it's a great experience with most all of the ship available to explore.

We have visited the battleship multiple times and always learn something new. Wear comfortable shoes and be ready to walk and climb. And watch your head!

My first trip to the Battleship involved over a hundred middle schoolers and a self-guided tour field trip. I wouldn’t recommend that trip to anyone but the brave/stupid. HOWEVER, for a family trip, this is a fantastic historical tour. There is SO MUCH information, beautifully presented exhibits,a winding tour throughout the battleship’s “innards” with lots to see including tons of information about daily life on the ship during WWII.

Be aware, there are LOTS of narrow staircases and semi-tight spaces so I wouldn’t recommend this attraction for the mobility-challenged... but for any other history enthusiasts this is a great way to spend a day!

This is not an attraction for people with limited mobility, but if you're able to climb up and down stairs it is a fascinating experience. You really get a sense of what combat was like in WWII, and how these really young men lived aboard a battleship. I highly recommend the self-tour!

What a great history lesson! We are so glad that we took this tour. We did not do the guided tour we the self guided tour. It was getting very busy when we left so I’m glad we went early.
