Owner description: All Saints’ Tudeley is the only church in the world* to have all its twelve windows decorated by the great Russian artist Marc Chagall. The east window at Tudeley is a memorial tribute to Sarah d'Avigdor-Goldsmid who died aged just 21 in a sailing accident off Rye. Sarah was the daughter of Sir Henry and Lady d'Avigdor-Goldsmid; the family then lived at the fine Jacobean house Somerhill which is situated nearby.

This church is out of the way, but nevertheless well worth a visit, the windows by Marc Chagall are truly inspiring and all the more beautiful in the setting of this small country church. The story behind their creation is equally moving, and it is an opportunity to see works of art still in the location for which they were created.

We really enjoyed our visit to this lovely, peaceful church. The website warns you when weddings or funerals or other events are held so you can make sure to time your visit when it's possible to freely go inside.

In addition to the unmissable stained glass, someone has thoughtfully listed all the graves with their locations so if you have come on a family history visit you can consult the plan of the graveyard to find your ancestor's resting place.

There is no entry fee but I gladly made a donation for the privilege of seeing the Chagall windows.

There is a free carpark.

Whilst visiting area with friends we couldn't find a mosque to pray. So when passing by this church we saw the priest and explained that we need to do our salah...he kindly offered us to pray at the church and made a space for us. Very greatful. Thank you

I've seen a lot of stained glass around the world. But walking into this church and seeing the vivid colors is really amazing. Vivid blues and bright yellows. Must be seen.

See the Story of Christ by Marc Chagall very beautiful. Last window installed in 1985, see a bit of art history as it lives as it was intended in situ and completely relevant to its surroundings. Ce Est Magnafique
