This really is worth visiting, it really makes you remember how it was when we were youngsters( !!!) and even before!! Your memory is well and truly jogged remembering how far the retail experience has developed. This store was probably well ahead of its time in the day. Big thank you to the gentleman volunteer who was there today, so helpful and a fount of knowledge.

Fly back in time and see how a general store was kept, products they stocked and prices for such items. Truly a great experience. The picnic tables out the back are a refreshing finish, to sit under the shade of the big trees and take it all in.

Even our easily-bored 8 year old was fascinated by the vast array of products on display. The curator on duty when we went (Sun 7th Jan 2018) was very knowledgable but also told stories in an interesting and engaging way.

If nostalgia is your thing and you harken back to the days when you HAD to visit a retail shop to view what products were available and on-line shopping was the stuff of science fiction, then you will relish this place, Lovingly maintained, it has all the trappings of its glorious past, even some peanut butter from the 1970;s----Yum!?

Do take time to have a chat with the people who work here, they have a wealth of knowledge and stories to tell.
