I found the Blue Note Grill a few months after arriving in Durham for work. I feel in love with their barbecue platter. The pork is tender and moist, then add your own sweet barbecue sauce. I also loved the hush puppies. A very filling platter.
Add great music on the weekends, and you have a perfect night.

Lunch or dinner, you can't go wrong. Very good barbecue and sandwiches served by a very good wait staff. Check out the blues bands on the weekend.

Went to hear a friend play music & thrilled to find fabulous food! The pork bbq was very good-- smoked type with a couple of sauce options on the table. I liked the slightly sweet, slightly hot sauce! The other was a more vinegar base, I believe. HushPuppies were great too! This was a crowd that truly loved music also & was a fun atmosphere-- a few danced, most everyone engaged & giving love to the musicians. We had a great time & LOVED the food & sweet tea!

You must try Raleigh's vinegar sauce on the barbecue. We split the pork bbq sandwich and the daily special sandwich. Titi is one of the best waitresses ever. Also, the place serves cinnamon butter on the side for the waffle fries, which is like a bite of my grandma's toast with butter, cinnamon and sugar. Strange yet delicious once you wrap your head around the taste.
