Historic monument with excellent location in St. Emilion; it is only few minutes to ancient town centre. Room is spacious with classic European decor which is very nice, especially to us Asians. Dining room at Grand Barrail offers excellent cuisine as well.

Room Tip: Only drawback is with the shower room where water always leak out because of the door design and construction

Our room was lovely, our dinner was excellent. It was our second visit, and it lived up to our previous expectations. However, longer hours for use of the fitness room would have been appreciated. I find it a bit unfair that guests are not permitted to use the fitness and spa rooms after 19:00, while the hotel rents these facilities after 19:00 to customers with deeper pockets. Probably won't visit again.

We spent 4 days in this beautiful hotel and we can only say good things about it. Staff very friendly and accommodating, they take to the room upon check in, help you with the daily excursions and really efficient. The room is really spacious and have amazing views to the vineyards. We took a biking tour and was really nice! In room dining is pricey buy amazing, highly recommend the veal, salmon and the pumpkin soup. Did not try the restaurant for dinner/ breakfast. We will definitely be back!

We stayed here in late March as a birthday treat and it’s been outstanding. The hotel and surroundings are beautiful, the room was superb and the staff were extremely friendly and professional. Despite its size it gives a ‘family feel’ nothing is too much trouble. The food is out of this world and the recommendations provided in Saint-Emilion itself were also outstanding. This has been the best gastronomic experience we’ve ever had.

We are only leaving today and will be rebooking instantly. Thank you Château Grand Barrail for a wonderful experience.
