We stayed in the tents, which were spacious and comfortable with 24/7 electricity for charging weary camera batteries. The shared facilities for the tented area were clean and sufficient to the task. The wildlife was close at hand (so take care), but their proximity is also wonderful. In or around the camp, we saw a hippo, an elephant, a giant boar, and several types of lizards and birds.
The real gems, though, were the stunning views of the Kazinga Channel, and the lovely ambiance at dinner. We came back dusty and tired from a long game drive and were greeted with a delicious four-course meal, served al fresco in the glowing light of a campfire and numerous oil lanterns. It felt a bit magical at the end of the day.More
