So disappointing for a 5* hotel. Every meal service was very slow and lethargic; it took more than 2 hours plus each time. Most of the waiters did not know or could communicate to the kitchen for any improvements, it seemed they are not trained at all and the managers of the resort could not care one bit.
The food was so tasteless and bland each time. Not once did we have a decent meal. We did speak to the chef several times requesting on improvements, he did say he would but he did not at all, all those requests fell to deaf ears, despite the chef saying yes he will do it etc. Each time we had a meal it took more than two hours to serve us. A few examples are:
Risotto: Very bland, no taste what so ever.
Pasta: Dry, undercooked and again very bland and no taste what so ever.
Pizzas: Ordered 4, all came back completely raw at the bottom. In fact one pizza came after we had ordered desserts, shows the service standard after all.
They do not have any cocktails in the bars and do not even stock Gin. This is quite shocking for such a kind of hotel.
Vegetable Skewers: Came severely undercooked and very bland and no taste what so ever. The paneer they used in this was sour, undercooked and off and gave an upset stomach.
Breakfast: Can’t even get simple omelet orders right, mixed up all our orders.
Each time we asked the chef to do something to try and improve, he could not do anything, seems like they are not trained or know how to cook at all. We had to resort to going across to Peponi for meals a couple of times.
It was not only us complaining, when we went to Peponi we had guests who checked out of Majlis earlier and also had complaints of the food and service. We saw a few dinners leave early as they had not gotten their meal and some were sick from the food quality.
We had two meals at the Peponi restaurant and the service, food quality was a million times better and they seemed to have stock of everything.
