We had excellent wine and food here, and it was a lot cheaper than a lot of the top rated restaurants.
Staff were very helpful and friendly. A live ensemble played outside, which added to the ambiance.

I cannot put into words just how bad this meal was. After waiting for an hour it really did rub salt in the wound. My daughter ordered fresh tuna spaghetti which was just a tin of tuna stirred into a revolting sauce and poured over a plate of pasta. It looked like something you would put on the floor for your dog. I ordered seafood rice which was a bowl of broth with a couple of chunks of fish and potatoes. For the rest of our hols when discussing where we ate, we referred to this as the slop place. Never again.

Sorry but I believe you are rather confused as to where you ate dinner. For example we do not serve seafood rice. It is not on our menu. Also we never serve tuna from a tin. Please amend and/or reassign your review as necessary. Thank you.

We succumbed to the recommendation of one of the local street hawkers and made a visit, and were glad we did. Only later did we remember the restaurant had been highlighted in the in-flight magazine on our Thomas Cook Airlines flight. Doh!
Fish were the blackboard daily specials, so Wahoo and Dorada it was, with accompanying veggies and a couple of cold beers.
All four reported how much they had enjoyed themselves.
Good town centre location, attentive staff (a shout out for Paulo here), good food and great value.
So glad we visited.

My husband and I are vegetarians and really struggled for food in Sal. The resort recommended this place. Limited options for veges. We had a pasta which was quite nice (comes with peas and carrots which is an odd combination but tasted good) and a vege kebab which comes served with some rice and salad. Vege kebab was quite bland - wasn't the type of kebab I'm used to having in England! Exceptionally slow service but decent live band and good atmosphere.

If you're seated outside it's quite windy so wear a light coat or shawl!

We had never eaten here before so decided to give it a try. Firstly, best waiters we’ve come across in Santa Maria - they actually smile and look like you’re not an inconvenience!
We wanted the special fish fillet but this has sold out despite it not being crossed off the specials board. We both had grilled tuna in onion sauce instead which was beautifully cooked and large portions - we were too full for an ice cream after! We were also served with complimentary ponche which was lovely. The live music was also good and added to the atmosphere. The only critics I have is that the food wasn’t overly warm and would’ve benefited from being served hotter.
