I went through the most horrific experience with JetBlue. I booked this flight on JetBlue because, I had one of the most important event in my life on Dec14th 8pm in New York. I was getting an award for some of my work. I was landing at 2.29pm, so I had enough time even if it gets delayed.
Date - Dec14th. Time- 10.29am. Flight#1060. I got an email in the morning saying flight was delayed a half hour so. No big deal. Then another email saying one hour delay. Little later another one saying 2 1/2 hour delay. Still I get to New York around 5pm or so. I will still make it. Long story short, We delayed coming to the airport like hour and a half. We showed up at 11am at 2.30 delayed flight. When we got to the airport, counter had no idea about the delayed. Flight left on time. We were booked at 6.15pm flight. We got to New York 10pm. I missed the event totally. I am beyond upset.
Zero help to make connecting flight in Fort Lauderdale. JetBlue chose our connecting flight and connecting airport, not us. There was a 45 minute layover. I told a flight attendant before landing that I was worried that we wouldn't make our connection. She shrugged. I asked the crew on exit if they could tell our next gate crew that we were coming. They said, "no". I asked the gate worker if they could call for a golf cart. They said "no", plus almost sent us in the wrong direction for our next gate.
We had been at the back of the plane. We sat on the tarmak for 10 minutes after landing. Deplaning took 30 more minutes. We had 5 minutes to get to our next flight. We ran, and made it at the last possible moment.
Every employee that we asked for help was a heartless jerk.
This is by far the worst airline. Clear lack of communication between staff, lost baggage, no compensation for hotel even when its their fault that first flight arrived late which caused me and my kids to miss our connecting flight from jfk. Please save yourself the extreme headache you will get with this airline and its staff if you are traveling internationally and if you have to change planes. 2 years ago this same thing happened to me and i was stranded at jfk, long story short i had to buy myself and my family one way tickets back home to florida from jfk. Absolute garbage of an airline and staff to match with it. They charge you delta prices but their service is far below spirit and frontier combined. I thought things probably changed by now since 2+ years ago and jetblue and its staff cleaned up their act. Come to find out, nothing has changed. If anything, it has gotten worse and worse. No one in this company steps in to own the problem that they create themselves. Lesson learned, NEVER AGAIN!
The flight was great and mostly on time. I left my iPads in my Garment bag that I shipped through and they came through unscathed which was really impressive. Good job.
