“Terrible Customer Service”
Review of JetBlue

Reviewed July 28, 2023

My Jetblue flight from NY to ATL was cancelled last week an hour before I was about to leave my house for the airport. To date, the only communication I have had from Jetblue was the email regarding my flight cancellation. They did not rebook and it was impossible to call and speak to an agent. I had to rebook at the last minute on Delta (thank god for Delta), at 5x the cost. I will never fly Jetblue again.

flight was full, passengers were on standby, we were ask ( 4 adults and one child) to relocate our carry-ons in the bottom compartment and will receive $25. customer service took all of our information, no refund. I call Jet Blue customer service and chat and was told there is nothing in the system indicating refund, and the customer service desk are the ones who have to give refunds.

You can't make this up. This is the first time in my nearly 40 years of flying where an airline pilot took the mic in the departure lounge to chastise customers--who were already 2 hours into a 3-hour delay on the red eye from Barbados to JFK. He was late (for what, I have no clue), and he was advising us not to make him any later. Apparently, this particular red-eye has a reputation for long delays. In addition, for the lack service we're not being charged, say, Spirit Airlines prices, to say nothing of the upcharges on seats and baggage. The pilot's tantrum was too much. I'm never flying JetBlue again. This means connecting through Miami, but I'd rather that inconvenience than the offer of no service for what the prices being charged. I will never refer this airline to any of my frequent flier friends. A highlight is the actual people working the counters; they are doing their best with what appears to be a clumsy, customer-belittling, top-down management structure.

Be very weary when booking any JetBlue flight. I have been a JetBlue customer since the very beginning. I would always highly recommend them. The decline has been considerable. Customer service has a surcharge of $25 dollars to speak to anyone. We booked our trip in January for July. We booked two direct flights round trip. JetBlue knew in February that a direct flight from San Diego wouldn’t have a plane in July. They booked us on a return flight from San Diego with a connecting flight through Boston to New York. We were in the air when JetBlue called my home to tell us the connecting flight was canceled to New York. When we landed, we found out we were now on a connecting flight to LaGuardia not JFK. Our luggage was left in Boston. We get an email that they hold no responsibility for the flight cancellation or our luggage not making it on our new flight. We had to drive back to the airport to pick up our luggage two hours later. I wish I could say this was an isolated incident but there were many with similar and even worst horror stories about flights cancelled.

Last minute they told me that our tickets did not allow to have a carry-on. Why a bagpack was OK, but a bag on wheels the same size was not? I had to pay for a big bag check in. What a rip off! Also headphones were offered for a fee! I suggest that management start charging a fee for the use of the lavatory.
