We stayed in Anvaya Cove in Bataan for the long weekend, and we decided last minute to stay one more night in Subic to make our trip to the North worth it. Thanks to TripAdvisor, we were able to get a room for a good rate thru TravelPh.

I booked the room online for the same day, and what compelled me was the rooftop pool overlooking the subic bay. Parents however need to be very careful and watchful of their children because the glass railings are not high enough to secure children from possible falling accident. The pool water was not too cold, just the right temperate if you plan to stay until early evening.

The room and bathroom with bathtub were so spacious. What's obvious is that the toilet doors did not fit well, there were no locks. We had 1 king-sized bed and 1 queen bed, both were really very comfortable to sleep on.

Our room rate is inclusive of breakfast for two, and this is where the hotel management needs to focus on in my opinion. There were very few choices, and no dish that speaks of Subic's specialty. The dining place was great, but the food weren't. Good thing that their location is very accessible to all your needs - Royale Duty Free at the back, Shakey's right in front, and the famous Xtremely Xpresso about 600m straight away.

Over-all, we enjoyed our stay in this hotel.

I stayed two nights on a business trip. Even though the nature surrounding Subic Bay is really nice I do not see a reason to stay there as a tourist. However, the hotel room was okay, clean and you get what you need. The restaurant offers different kind of food, but honestly just simple and rather small dishes for quite a price. Breakfast is okay, however comparing to other business hotels in Asia too ordinary. Staff is very helpful and friendly and the highlight of this hotel.

Room Tip: Try to catch a room which is not exposed to the outside

Our family planned to spend the weekend in Subic to experience Ocean Adventure and spend 1 night in Best Western Plus Hotel. We reserved 5 rooms for each families. Rooms were absolutely stunning. We spend our dinner in Meat Plus Cafe and the food was really great! The next day we had our breakfast buffet in the hotel and we were suprised by the messed of every corner of the restaurant. The food was great though but their Food and beverages are running out and nobody from their staff was assigned to look after the buffet line. It was a big messed! Overall experience was poor in terms of customer service.

We stayed here for one night in June 2017. The check in process was fast, but for some reason they can only give 1 keycard per room which is odd for a hotel chain.

PROs
Ample room size
Comfortable beds, beddings and pillows.

CONs
Airconditioning is not centralized. They have a split type AC that took a while before it can cool the entire room.
They only give 1 keycard. which is odd for a hotel chain. Because of this, we always come back to a warm uncomfortable room because the power turns off once we exit the room.
Food was dismal. The breakfast selection was poor. I only ate the scrambled eggs because I think thats the only this is the only thing that is edible. (powdered juice, really?)

Unfortunately, this is the only hotel in this area that belongs to a decent hotel chain.

Room Tip: Select the seaview room

We booked Best Western Plus Hotel for our trip to Subic not only because of the 4 star ratings but the reviews given. But our expectations were not met. Honestly, in my opinion, this Hotel should be given a maximum of 3 stars for the fact that it's service is not at par with what you would expect from a 4 star hotel. We booked an executive suite for two nights but when we arrived, they said the room was not available so instead they will "upgrade" us to a deluxe room. Suffice it to say for travelers out there, an "upgrade" from an executive suite to a deluxe is actually a downgrade. The room was not yet prepared and we had to wait for almost 15 minutes. I mean, if you knew that there was a problem with the executive suite, wouldn't you prepare the "upgraded" room ahead of time? That being said, the room, although clean and presentable lacked the amenities of a 4 star hotel. The handle in the shower is broken so we had to use a pliers to turn the knob so we could use the rain shower head. If you want a good nights rest, be prepared to be woken up at night as sound proofing is not that great. It was as if there was no door to shield the room from noises along the corridor! During one day, we left the room at around 11 am and left the "Please clean the room" sign" out. We came back around 4 pm and yes, the room has not been cleaned. We waited for the cleaning guy to come (which was around 5:45 pm). Breakfast was not horrible neither was it spectacular. But most of all, I could count in one hand the number of staff who wore a smile during our stay (the guard at the door, the waitress at the egg station and the guy who cleaned our room). Don't you guys keep your staff happy? Overall, would I come back or recommend the hotel? I would go and check out other hotels first. It wouldn't be my first, second or third option. For the price they charge you, and the fact that it's a 4 star hotel, you would be expecting more!
