Subic Grand Seas Resort
Ranked #7 of 19 Hotels in Olongapo
Reviewed November 20, 2017

We stayed last weekend for our anniversary. From Manila, it's a 3-4 hour drive from Manila, and we are trying to get a good resort not too far from the freeport. It was a challenge to get an affordable yet good accommodation despite the many resorts and in Subic. We saw Grand Seas and the reviews are good, I got excited because of the nice pictures and accessibility of the resort and I was not disappointed.

What I love most is the attentiveness of the staffs. We are also fond of Japanese foods, thus, we enjoyed dining at Sayuri. I loved the Chicken Teriyaki. We also had Jalapeno poppers, one of our favorites and Fried Tilapia, which was really good. We just love the coffee and frappes too. Would love to have dessert but only cheesecake is available that time.

The place is lovely and picture perfect. Very accessible, near convenience stores and food outlets (andoks, chooks to go), restaurants nearby and ah! Night club haha.. But across the resort is actually the Immaculate Concepcion Parish. The place is easy to spot too.

P.S. be careful in dealing with people outside offering island hopping. We made a deal with two people for Php1300 and it was not worth it. We went to suzuki island (which was a good swimming and snorkeling spot) but only for like 40 minutes. That wasn't worth it. They told us we will tour around other resorts but he was like itching to go back immediately.

I'd still recommend the water activities the resort is offering - jetski, banana boat and parasailing.

BTW, we got free breakfast but the food choices is limited. Nothing fancy - just soup, egg, pork adobo (varies), rice, coffee, juice. You can order other foods though from the menu if it's not your type. :)

Plus: very hospitable staff, spacious family room, nice pool especially for the kids, just few steps to the beach, good food.

For improvement: bathroom drainage clogs and no provision for hanging towel and clothes, beds must be new that it still is wrapped with plastic and makes noise when you move.

Our four night stay at this hotel included free daily breakfast and the diarrhoea that followed by three out four of us was also included. To put it simple the food in the trays looked ok but they were not being heated like a Bay Marie food warmer. The food was stone cold & uncovered with the odd fly hovering around and us arriving around 8.30, God only knows how long the food had been exposed like that. To be fair you can order fresh toast & jam and along with the coffee that should be your only breakfast if you want to stay healthy whilst staying there.

This place is actually far from attractions like ocean adventure, zoobic zafari and etc... but its easier to get here from bus terminal. Just one jeep ride

Theres also convenience store just a few walk from the hotel which is good. Though food is not allowed in the resort

The resort is clean. Love the rooms. The staffs were great. Every requests the we have they do it right away. They provide separate towels for outside and for room which is so good.

They have pool which is not so deep and clean so both ny nephews enjoyed here much. Though when its afternoon. The beach front was dirty.. i think all the garbage people threw from public beaches go there. But its clean in the norning. They clean it..

Theres also lots of water activities there such as boat rides. Jetski rental and island hopping and stuff. The kids will absolutely enjoy there!

And the breakfast in the morning is superb! Its so many choices to choose from The employees are kind and always smiling.

Highly recommended hotel in subic..

Nice beach resort, i love the pool because of its warm water. And its not crowded. Kudos to the staff, theyre all very attentive to your needs. Also, for its rate that serves buffet breakfast, tamwas worth it. Definitely will go back.
