We frequently dine in Montclair but up until tonight, have never tried Aozora. I am not a fan of sushi, so I never considered dining here. Another couple made the reservation and told us that besides the sushi menu, the menu additionally offers European cuisine as well. This is a great option for people to take advantage of both and mix and match their selections. Aozora is a byob. We began by sharing mussels in a dejonaise broth. The portion was hugh and delicious. We also shared an equally delicious udon noodles dish. One person ordered the tuna madness entree from the sushi menu , while the rest of us ordered from the European menu. We chose the chilean sea bass, shrimp over risotto and the scallops over barley risotto. All were perfectly done. Desserts were the bread pudding and chocolate lava cake. The dinner was great and pleases the sushi eater as well as those who prefer their food cooked. We all recommend Aozora as a great dining choice.
