This was probably one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. Why? No paper thin walls. It was so quiet and you couldn't hear your neighbors or people in the hallway, yet there were a substantial number of guests. If I were one to be able to sleep through the night it would have been amazing. The area is also convenient for places to eat and shopping. And we loved walking along the water. Would definitely stay again.
First and foremost Gloria at the front desk was exceptional. She was patient , kind and understanding. We were tired from a long hot day in NYC and she did everything she could to assist us. Her commitment to the Marriott way coupled with the beautiful hotel has made this hotel our go to when visiting NYC
The staff Gloria was very welcoming and generous. We truly appreciated her hospitality. The kids enjoyed the pool and there was restaurants nearby where you could get pizza or things you forgot at the pharmacy. There was a bus that took you straight to the port authority terminal for $3.50 And the bus stop was just across the street was significantly cheaper than staying in Times Square like I did my first trip with my kids and I feel the value that I received from this hotel was amazing. The breakfast was amazing it had eggs hashbrowns, Starbucks, coffee, fresh fruit cereal bacon, sausages, juice, and fresh waffles !
We decided to go to NYC for March Break. My husband found this hotel and we booked it for 2 nights.
The hotel was nice, clean and modern. We had two queen beds, a tv where we could stream and watch Netflix, big washroom, a mini fridge and microwave in our room as well. It has an indoor pool and 24 hour gym. There’s a Starbucks and a restaurant bistro where you can get some breakfast or food. There’s a police station right beside the hotel and little shops just outside as well such as Dunkin Donuts and Five Guys.
Upon checking in, the receptionists were friendly and informative. They charged $15 per day for parking and also charged a $100 hold that would be released upon check out.
We planned to visit NYC and Times Square and the hotel provided us with a little pamphlet sheet that told us what buses we could take and the fares. For one way for two adults and two kids, it was $10.10. The bus stop is conveniently located right across from the hotel. We took one bus that took us straight to the bus/subway station and we just had to walk up to the street level and you are in front of the New York Times building in Times Square. The last bus to come back to the hotel is at 10PM, but if you plan to stay longer, you can take a cab back.
We also planned to go to the American Dream mall after check out and that was about 25 minutes away from this hotel.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay here and will be coming back in the summer again!
Most comfortable beds! Hotel lobby and rooms were clean and fresh. Great staff and beautiful hotel!! Excellent area close to food, shopping & skyline views of NYC. Thanks for a wonderful trip. We will definitely stay again :)
