You know from the moment you enter this converted mill, you know you are somewhere very special. Welcoming, friendly, quirky, historic, fascinating, comfortable are just a few of the adjectives I could use to describe this hidden gem.
I would strongly advise that you take advantage of the fantastic bar and restaurant, the food is really high quality and plentiful - the puddings in particular are delicious but huge so make sure you leave room.
The rooms are individual, comfortable and spacious, the bathroom products are lovely and available to buy at incredible reasonable prices from the inn shop (which I did ).
What can I say about breakfast at the Comman Man - it is a true experience. The food is great but Chef Thomson is the true star - I promised him I would spoil his imperfect reputation by uploading a really good review - this allegedly grumpy chef is a really fine cook and no matter what he may say is a warm, funny and interesting man.
This inn and all it’s staff are truly fantastic!More
