I've been to South Lake Tahoe many times but never stayed in any Casino hotel at Stateline (NV). Having received a terrific offer in the mail I decided to stay at the MontBleu. Very happy I did. Even adding the relatively low resort fee typical with Casino stays, it was a great deal.
Outdoor parking was close to the entrance, check-in was fast and friendly (no lines) and I was literally in my room within 15 minutes of parking. The room was large, simple contemporary furnished, with large flat-screen Philips TV ,coffee maker, King bed and view of the mountain to the East. The bath had a huge walk-in shower. Both room and bath were squeaky clean.
The casino had many and varied machines, a few table games and cigarette smoke (typical of Nevada casinos) was not noticeable. There's a 4 diamond restaurant on the premises, a buffet, 2 cafes with some very reasonable specials. I had the prime rib for $14.99 and the portion was generous. There's even a Senior Day(Thursday) with special benefits. Spa and pool seemed popular as well.
There are 4 casino hotels at Stateline. Based on this stay I would recommend the Mont Bleu.More
