Owner description: Discover the timeless beauty of Fantastic Caverns, one of the earth's rarest treasures. There are only four of its' kind in the entire world, and only one in North America. Here, you'll discover one of the world's most beautiful natural wonders; giant columns stretching from floor to ceiling, delicate soda straws glistening with minerals, tiny cave pearls hidden in crystal-clear water. And best of all, you'll see it close-up from the comfort of a Jeep-drawn tram!
Useful Information: Wheelchair access, Bathroom facilities

It was a cold rainy day so we thought the Caverns would not be busy, we were wrong. Only had to wait 15 minutes until our tour. My wife, I and out 3 grand boys got to sit in the jeep that pulls the wagon. This is a short cave but it last 50 minutes. Out guide was above average and made this a delightful time. Suggest this for all ages. Cavern stays 60 degrees so was warmer inside the out that day.

The caverns are interesting and the short tour is well run. It was fun to ride through—that part was unique. The guide was knowledgeable and personable.

We felt like $12-$16 would have been a fairer price for what we got—not the most spectacular cavern we’ve visited. Not the second or third most spectacular either. But if you’ve never been in a cave before and seen the formations, you might find it worth the price.

There were a few stops that gave the impression they were stalling to make the tour seem longer—a lame video at the midpoint that didn’t really teach anything, but took about ten minutes, that kind of thing.

At the end of the tour we were offered a picture of our group for an additional $12, which may not be a lot as far as photos go, but it felt like a bit much after we just shelled out $50 for the two of us. (No one on the tour paid for the pics—there was kind of a collective eye roll there at the end.)

This was a fun trip to see the cave. I have been in many cave tours but this is unique because you get to ride in a jeep or the trailer being towed by the jeep. The guide was wonderful and stopped many times to give you a good view and a great opportunity to take some pictures. He pointed out three little bats in the cave which was really cool.
