It's like a big open zoo which has deers, nilgais and of course Lionesses. So you stand highest probability of seeing them without cage.

Second option to see the Asiatic Lion if you can't book a Lion Safari for GIR National Park. Devalia Park is also known as GIR Interpretation Zone. Just 12 KM from Sasan village, here you have a chance to see most of the residents of GIR Forest.

Safari permit can be booked online as well as from the tourist reception center available there. Park is open all days of the week except Wednesday. Indian resident has to pay INR 150 on a weekday and INR 190 on the weekend and on a holiday. Whereas a foreign tourist have to pay INR 2400 on the weekday and INR 3000 on the weekend.

Shame on Safari organizers to have such primitive bus for viting a zoo. If you missed seeing lion/ lioness in Gir forest, you will surely see here as the animals seemed to be drugged so that you will see them. It is like visiting a zoo. Very short trip. Apparently, there is a nice information zone- which they dont tell you and it gets closed so early

We wasted our time and money by falling local people trap, wearing government uniform people comes to you and show there surity for showing the lion but they hand over to local transport and they take you to the route to a Mandir where you can also go in your own vehicle also and on the way deer and Peacock can be seen. If you really want to enjoy the park then only book online before 24hrs. Dont fall in such traps.
