Indian cuisine varies greatly across the regions of India, so evaluating does depend to some extent on the style that you prefer, but nonetheless we found the food at the Jaipur palace to be OK rather than great.
Our curries were ordered as 'mild' which they were, and this may have inhibited the chef somewhat, however there was a broad mix of flavours but not a distinctive one in accordance with the dish ordered. One thing a good Indian restaurant should never get wrong is the naan bread. We were quite disappointed by the bread at this restaurant - not the texture or flavour of a true naan.
Service was excellent - attentive and helpful. The decor was very interesting and appropriate - a cosy setting.
Prices were OK and BYO is permitted.
While we did not dislike our meal, we will be trying other options for our next Indian dinner.
