because it is awesome way to take in an old city by a magnificent lake! It can get a little hairy with frequent storm damage but amazing to see. Stop and take in the Rocky beach and swim if you dare, 45 degrees max in summer. It can be chilly by the water so wear layers, 30 years living in Duluth taught me well! It can also be a scorcher if it's hot so wear a hat, either way a hat is good. See the mosaic wall tiles, old depot, score a shave ice in Canal Park while biking in a rental. Check out the pier and lighthouse, the Marine Museum is there as well as the unique Lift Bridge. Head across and see Park Point (Minnesota Point) where you can dare the ice or paddle board, take sailing lessons or picnic. It connects east to west and I recommend a shady stay at Leif Erickson Park and don't miss the Rose Garden! Watch the sunrise and the sunset from the lake walk, unforgettable. 5 ***** just for my memories.
