This was so much more than we anticipated. Lots to see and learn with simulators and rides to entertain the children. Wonderful volunteers, very kind and anxious to help. We expected to spend 1-2 hours and spent twice that. Highly recommend for all ages.

It was our first time in Kalamazoo and we chose to visit the Air Zoo. The place was not jam packed with planes and jets (check out Wright Patterson Air Force Museum) but it had enough to satisfy all ages. They had a few carnival rides for young kids. They also had 2 types of simulator pods you can get on too. All free with your entrance fee which was great! When we were there, the crowd was manageable and the line for both wasn’t long at all. The staff who were manning all the rides were friendly and courteous. When you get into the simulator pod, they have a lock box to place your items, I greatly appreciated that. Don’t forget to go to the other building (free entrance with your wristband) next to the runaway to watch commercial planes taking off. Kids will enjoy getting into more cockpits there. Overall, it was a nice day out for all of us.

Lots of restored airplanes from the last 100 years. Plenty of rides and activities to entertain kids and adults. It was not crowded at all. We enjoyed our time. It was worth the $15 entrance fee.

It's a very impressive museum! Their free tour guides are very knowledgeable. There are several hands-on mechanical stations that kids can play and learn. The cafeteria offered tasty food with good variety. It's a bit pricey, compared to regular fast food, but reasonable considering the quality. Highly recommend!

This museum is totally family friendly. There is something for everyone. There are lots of hands on activities for the curious, rides, & films. You start from the beginnings of aviation all the way through to the space age. We spent 2.5 hours and didn't get to the other restoration building.
