Listen up Notre Dame fans, if you want a beautiful place to stay during your trip to watch the Fighting Irish, this is your place. Yes, it's in Michigan but just barely. It's about a 15 minute (or less) drive to Eddy Street Commons. After the game, you get to drive north from the stadium instead of east or west so the traffic isn't as horrible and on top of all that, it's a beautiful B&B with a delicious breakfast!
We stayed in the Chateau room. It was as beautiful in person as it was presented on their website. There are lots of little extra details in the decor and it has its own bathroom. It was 84 degrees outside with 65% humidity but our room was cool and comfortable.
There were snacks when we arrived and also when we returned from the game. The breakfast both days was awesome. Lots of fruit, homemade baked items, breakfast potatoes and different main dish choices each day. The owners, Cindy and Ron, are very welcoming and thoughtful, they even had rain ponchos for us to take to the game just in case.
There are also many other things to see and do besides Notre Dame. There is an orchard next door, it's a short trip to the Indiana dunes and the fall leaves in the area will be gorgeous. I highly recommendMore
